If you love eating ramen noodles with pork chashu on top, you will love this easy to make pork belly chashu at home. This is very simple and easy to make yet very tasty. You can use this pork belly chashu as a topping for ramen noodles or Chashu Rice Bowl or you can serve as is as an appetizer.
Ingredients

- 1 head Garlic – https://amzn.to/3j9s5kW
- 1 cup Soy Sauce – https://amzn.to/35a0nzw
- 1 cup Mirin – https://amzn.to/37ds0dL
- 1 cup Sake – https://amzn.to/31fb1nL
- 1 cup Water
Steps
- Roll and tie the pork belly
- Sear the pork belly in the pot
- Remove the pork belly from the heat once seared
- Discard the excess oil in the pot
- Add back the pork belly in the pot
- Add water, soy sauce, mirin, sake to the pot
- Add ginger, garlic, green onion to the pot
- Set to high heat and bring it to a boil
- Once boiling, lower the heat and continue to simmer for an hour
- Remove from the heat and cool down the pork belly
- Place the pork belly together with the marinade sauce in the Ziploc and place in the fridge overnight
- Slice the pork belly, broil it
- Serve as a topping of the noodle, or Chashu don rice or as an appetizer
