Sinigang is a Filipino soup or stew characterized by its sour and savoury taste most often associated with tamarind (Filipino: sampalok). It is one of the more popular dishes in Filipino cuisine. You can have different ingredients like pork, shrimp, fish, etc. In this video, pork meat is being used.

2 lb pork meat

5 tomatoes

1 small onions

Note: You can add different types of vegetables in the sinigang. Amount you want to add is up to you. If you want to have more veggie, you can add more. If you want sour, add more tomatoes.

Steps

1. Put the pork meat in the pot. Fill in with water

2. Press Saute mode and bring it to boil for 5 minutes

3. Once boiled, discard the water and rinse the pork

4. Put back the pork in the pot

5. Add tomatoes, radishes, onions

6. Fill with water until all ingredients are soaked

7. Close the lid and set to meat/stew

8. Set timer to 30 minutes

9. Set the vent to Sealing position

10. Once the time is up, release the pressure, put the vent to venting position

11. Open the lid, set to saute mode

12. Mash the taro roots and tomatoes to make the soup savory and little bit thick

13. Add the remaining ingredients (eggplants, okura)

14. Add the tamarind soup mix (adjust the amount depending on the sour level you wish)

15. Add the spinach, stir

16. Serve it!
