Beef Nilaga is very traditional Filipino soup dish. It matches with white rice. In traditional cooking, you need to boil the beef for hours in order to get the tenderness out of the meat. Using Instant Pot, you can shorten this process yet you get the delicious dish out of this.

2 lbs Beef Shank

1/2 Cabbage

3 stalks Bok Choy

2 Beef Cubes

2 tsp Salt

Steps
- Cut the end part of Bok Choy Stalk
- Cut the cabbage in 1/4
- Cut the Beef Shank in cubes
- Add 6 cups of water in the Instant Pot
- Add the meat
- Press Saute mode and set to more (high heat)
- Let it boil for a couple of minutes until scum is out from the meat
- Discard the water and rinse the meat and the pot
- Add 6 cups of fresh water
- Put back the rinsed meat in the pot
- Put onions, pepper, salt
- Put the lid on and set to Meat/Stew mode.
- Set the timer to 40 minutes
- Open the lid once the pressure is released
- Add potatoes, corns, beef cubes, fish sauce
- Boil for a couple of minutes to cook the potatoes and corns
- Add cabbage and bok choy
- Serve it!
