Chicken Tinola is a popular comfort Filipino food. The dish is so simple to make. If you only have Instant Pot, you can still make the Tinola without using the pressurize setting of Instant Pot. In this recipe, I will share with you how to make Tinola using Instant Pot as if it is a regular pot.

Ingredients

- 2 thumb size ginger – https://amzn.to/2UjqXkB
- 1 Chayote – https://amzn.to/3b971HB
- Malunggay leaves (2 – 3 cups)
- Fish Sauce – https://amzn.to/3abq18g
- 2 pcs Chicken bouillon – https://amzn.to/2x74sXS
- 3 chili (optional) – https://amzn.to/2IXfYYx
- Pepper to taste – https://amzn.to/2x74xe8
- Water
Steps
- Thin slice the ginger
- Roughly chop garlic
- Saute ginger garlic onion
- Add chicken continue to saute
- Add pepper and fish sauce
- Add chicken bouillon
- Continue to saute until the chicken is cooked
- Add water up to 8-cup level
- Cover, set to soup mode, and cook for 10 minutes
- Depressurized the pot and open the lid
- Add chayote and boil until it is soften (cooked)
- Add malunggay leaves
- Serve it!
