How to make Baked Macaroni with Cheese Recipe

About:  

Kids favorite baked macaroni and cheese or mac and cheese. It gives extra flavor and taste with the baked cheese on top. It would be great for a party recipe. You can make this in a big batch and it can serve the large crowd. Hope you enjoy my version of baked macaroni with Cheese. 🙂



Ingredients

[red sauce]

[white sauce]

[pasta]

Steps

[red sauce]

  1. Cook the ground beef until brown and remove from the pot
  2. With the same pot, saute onion, garlic and put back the cooked ground beef
  3. Add green bell pepper and mushroom and continue to cook
  4. Put back the cooked ground pork
  5. Add tomato paste, basil, oregano, red pepper flakes, knorr beef bouillon cubes and marinara sauce
  6. Add some water, sugar, salt and pepper and stir
  7. Bring it to a boil, cover and lower the heat and simmer for 45 minutes

[pasta]

  1. In a pot, add water, salt and oil
  2. Bring it to boil and add the pasta
  3. Follow the box instruction to cook the pasta and drain water

[white sauce] 

  1. In a pot, melt the butter
  2. Add all purpose flour
  3. Add milk
  4. Set to low heat
  5. Add cheddar cheese and parmesan cheese and continue stirring
  6. Add salt and give one last stir and set it aside

[assemble]

  1. Combine the red sauce and pasta
  2. Transfer the combined sauce and pasta into a baking dish
  3. Pour the white sauce on top and spread evenly
  4. Add cheddar cheese on top

[baking]

  1. Preheat oven to 370F
  2. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes
  3. Broil for 2 to 3 minutes if you want to get brownness on top
  4. Let it cool and set before serving it

Note: This recipe could make 2 baking dish (2qt size each)
