How to make Three-layer Dream Cake (Tin Can) Chocolate Cake Recipe

Dream Cake is a three-layer cake consist of moist chocolate cake, milky caramel and chocolate ganache icing on top. The cake is so moist, the icing is so creamy. The addictive taste makes you donā€™t want to stop eating this cake. Putting in the tin can makes this cake even fancier but you can also use regular aluminum foil to make one. Ingredients

[for the cake mixture]

Dry Ingredients

Wet Ingredients

[for the chocolate ganache icing]

Steps

[for the chocolate cake]

  1. Preheat oven to 320F/160C
  2. Grease the tin can or aluminum pan (I used Tin Can with the size of 6.5 in diameter x 1.5 in deep)
  3. Sift and combine all the dry ingredients listed above in the chocolate cake ingredients
  4. Mix all the wet ingredients
  5. Add the mixed wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and combine well but do not over mix
  6. Transfer the mixture to the tin can or aluminum pan
  7. Bake it for 45 minutes or do a toothpick test and the toothpick should come out clean
  8. Let it cool

You can make 3-4x of Tin Can (6.5in diameter x 1.5in deep) (pour 1 cup of batter on each container)

[for the chocolate ganache icing]

  1. Add all the ingredient in the pot (except butter)
  2. Mix well and simmer until thickens
  3. Add butter and mix
  4. Once icing thickens, remove from the heat
  5. Chill and set aside

[for the milky caramel]

  1. Add evaporated milk and corn starch and mix well
  2. Add condensed milk, heavy whipping cream, vanilla extract and salt
  3. Mix well and simmer until thickens
  4. Once icing thickens, remove from the heat
  5. Chill and set aside

[assembly]

  1. On a chocolate cake, add the milk caramel and chill for 1 hour or until it sets
  2. Add the chocolate ganache icing on top and chill to set
  3. Serve it!
