About This Dish
This is a very popular appetizer dish in Japan. Most of the grocery stores have this dish ready to eat package but this is so simple and you can make it by yourself pretty quickly.
Ingredients:
3 cups elbow or ditalini pasta

1 ½ pieces cucumber

1/2 cup Carrots

1/4 Onion

Ham cubed

[Dressing]
1 cup Japanese mayonnaise

1 cup plain yogurt

1 tsp Japanese mustard

1/2 cup condensed milk

Salt and pepper to taste
Steps:
1. Thin slice the cucumber and massage with salt and let it soak for a couple of minutes
2. Slice the carrots into thin sticks
3. Chop onions in dice
4. Slice the ham into cubes
5. Boil elbow macaroni (follow the box’s instructions for al dente)
6. While boiling the macaroni, in last 1 minute, drop the carrots to boil it together
7. Drain the water and cool down the macaroni
8. Combine all the dressing ingredients
9. Combine the dressing and the rest of the ingredients together and mix them well
