French fries, or simply fries are cut into strips and deep-fried into oil. French fries are so famous, pretty much anyone knows about it and perhaps most of us tried it. The typical way of cooking it is deep frying in the oil. In this recipe, we will be using Air Fryer, which uses significantly less oil, in fact, you don’t need to deep fry it but you still get the same texture and taste as if you have it deep-fried. I made two types of fries in this recipe. Hope you enjoy this air fried french fries!

[original potatoes]

Steps
- Rinse, peel the potato skins
- Cut them lengthwise into fries
- Place in cold water for 30 minutes
- Pat dry the potatoes with paper towel
- Put in the Airfryer and dry potatoes for 10 minutes at 250F
- Place in a bowl and mix well with olive oil
- Place back in the Airfryer and cook for 35 minutes at 350F – give them a good shake twice while cooking
Note: You may not need the full 35 minutes. Depending on the amount of fries, fries may cook sooner. Check from time to time when you give a shake.
