Sinigang is a Filipino soup or stew characterized by its sour and savoury taste most often associated with tamarind (Filipino: sampalok). It is one of the most popular dishes in Filipino cuisine. In this recipe, we will be making Salmon Miso Sinigang using Instant Pot. Instant Pot can be used as a regular “pot” so in this recipe, we will be using Instant Pot as a “pot”.

- 1/4 cup Miso Paste – https://amzn.to/2PEaNRj
- Fish Sauce – https://amzn.to/39qHA3O
- 40g Tamarind Soup Mix – https://amzn.to/2IbxJDe
- Chili Pepper (Optional) – https://amzn.to/2wmcXOo
- 5 cups water
Notes: Adjust the amount of ingredients based on your preferences. If you want more radish, you can increase the amount of radish and same goes to other ingredients
Steps
- Chop the ingredients
- Set the Instant Pot to Saute Mode and set to More (high heat”)
- Wait for the pot to heat
- Add Cooking Oil, saute ginger and garlic
- Add Onions and Tomato and continue to saute
- Add Miso Paste, saute for a while and add water
- Wait for the soup to boil and add the radish
- Adjust to “Less” (low heat)
- Continue to simmer until radish gets soften
- Once radish is soft, set to More (high heat)
- Add Tamarind Soup Mix
- Add Salmon, Mustard Greens
- Add chili pepper as optional
- Serve it!
