How to make Baked Samgyeopsal Recipe

Kdrama and Korean food lovers out there, there is another trending food in the Philippines called Baked Samgyeopsal. Following the Baked Sushi trend, this is another non-traditional Korean food but you can enjoy the different flavors in one tray! Hope you get to enjoy this delicious tray full of Korean food savor.



Ingredients

[top dressing]

[kimchi rice]

[fried egg and vegitables]

[samgyeopsal]

[cheese toppings]


Steps

[topping sauce]

  1. Combine all the topping sauce ingredients
  2. Set aside

[pork marinade]

  1. In a bowl, add the pork belly and the rest of the ingredients
  2. Massage the pork and set it aside

[kimchi rice]

  1. Cut the kimchi into small pieces
  2. Extract the kimchi juice from the kimchi
  3. Add Gochujang, Oyster Sauce, Sugar and Salt
  4. Mix well and set the Kimchi Juice mixture aside
  5. On a pan, saute chopped kimchi and add onion
  6. Saute until caramelized then add cooked rice 
  7. Once the rice is mashed, add the kimchi juice mixture and combine well
  8. Add salt and pepper to taste
  9. Set aside

[fried egg and vegetables]

  1. Beat the eggs and cook on a pan
  2. Once cooked, slice into strips
  3. Set aside the fried egg
  4. Saute vegetables from the order of carrots, mushrooms and spinach. Saute them with sesame oil, season with salt and pepper

[samgyeopsal]

  1. Heat the pan and add pork belly until cooked
  2. Cut into bite-size

[assembly]

  1. On a 2qt Tray, make a bed of kimchi rice
  2. Add the veggies and egg
  3. Add the grilled pork belly
  4. Add sauce and cheese on top

[bake]

  1. Preheat oven to 420F
  2. Bake for 8 – 10 minutes
