About:
Puto is a Filipino Steamed Rice cake. It is a popular Filipino delicacy that is loved by Filipino people. It is often served during the fiesta or festival, or on any special occasions. It can be a great afternoon snack or merienda as well. One of the popular Puto is the one you can get from the Goldilocks bakeshop. In this recipe, I used Instant Pot as a steamer but you can use any other steamer as well such as a Rice Cooker or traditional Steamer on the stove.
My Puto recipe is so soft and has the right sweetness that everyone will enjoy. I made the Ube Cheese version as well as the original version. This is super easy to make and hope you enjoy this Puto recipe!
