Spam Musubi is a popular Hawaiian Snacks. In this recipe, I made the easier version to prepare the Spam Musubi as Onigirazu or folded kimbap style. You don’t need spam molding and super easy to prepare this one.

[Teriyaki Sauce]

- 1 cans Spam (12 oz each can) – https://amzn.to/2YfOrZB
- 1.5 cups Japanese Rice – https://amzn.to/3h9aSZf
- 2 tsp Furikake (Rice Seasoning) – https://amzn.to/3f5A9BC
- Salt to taste – https://amzn.to/30nmUbj
- 3 sheets Nori – https://amzn.to/2UFU3vx
- 1 pc Egg
- 8 pcs Lettuce leaves
Steps
[Teriyaki Sauce]
- Combine soy sauce, sugar, mirin and mix them well.
[Spam Musubi]
- Beat eggs with salt(to taste)
- Heat up the pan, mid to low
- Add oil and spread and wipe the excess oil
- Cook the eggs
- Once eggs are cooked, set them aside to cool them down
- Once the egg is cooled down, slice it into the square where it can fit in the 1/4 area of the nori sheet.
- Once eggs are cut, set them aside
- Open Spam can and slice them into 8 pcs
- Cook the spam and glaze with a teriyaki sauce
- Get some cooked rice, add salt and furikake then combine them gently
- Place a nori sheet rough side up
- Make an incision (cut the nori sheet in the middle until it reaches the center)
- Place the rice on the bottom right side (from your view)
- Place the lettuce on the upper right side (from your view)
- Place the egg on the bottom left side (from your view)
- Place the spam on the upper left side (from your view)
- Fold the nori from the bottom left towards to upper left
- Then continuously fold it from left to right then fold the bottom right to upper right to complete the folding
- Wrap it with a plastic food wrapper and slice it in diagonal
- Serve it!
