How to Make a Sushi Burrito (Ahi Poke Flavor) Recipe at Home

Ingredients

Serves 3 to 4

[for the sushi rice and nori]

Steps

  1. Add Japanese Mayo, Sriracha, Rice Vinegar, Sugar, dash of Nanami (shichimi) togarashi, and sesame oil.
  2. Mix well and set aside.

[ahi poke

  1. In a separate bowl, add diced tuna sashimi, wakame (dried seaweed), onion (chopped), green onion, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, nanami (shichimi) togarashi, and salt.
  2. Toss and set aside.

[sushi rice]

  1. Cook 4 cups of Japanese rice.
  2. Add Sushi vinegar.
  3. Incorporate the sushi vinegar using a chopping motion. Do not mash the rice while mixing.

[sushi roll]

  1. Place a sheet of nori.
  2. Add sushi rice on top and spread evenly.
  3. Add roasted black sesame seeds.
  4. Add the fillings such as carrots (thinly sliced), cucumber, crab sticks, and ahi poke.
  5. Drizzle with spicy mayo.
  6. Roll the nori while holding the filling.
  7. Put some pressure to shape the Sushi Roll.
  8. Wrap in the parchment paper.
  9. Slice into half and serve!
